“Now if you listen closely / I’ll tell you what I know / Storm clouds are gathering / The wind is gonna blow / The race of man is suffering / And I can hear the moan, / ‘Cause nobody, / But nobody / Can make it out here alone.” — Maya Angelou

You hear the cracking of dried leaves beneath your feet. You feel the blow of the cold wind across your face. And on your own, moments later, you also feel a relentless rain begin to fall from the grey and leaden skies.
Although this negative event — full of left turns and right turns, dead-ends and turn-backs — gives a glimmer of hope, it has within it a benefit. As the bone-chilling rain turns your knuckles white, this same rain waters the seed that’ll make you grow.
Most people will escape pain and suffering if they can. Some, however, grip to motivation and trek through the tumultuous times.
When all by yourself, caught in a storm, light your way home. With the hope that a change is coming in the worst of times, keep on and you will see just how much you will grow.
